The Ohio State University: Local Advocacy Organizations

The Center for Psychiatry and Behavioral Health is located in the Neurological Institute at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Our faculty and staff include regional and national leaders in the study and care of adolescents and adults with anxiety, depressive and bipolar disorders, early onset psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia, alcohol and substance abuse problems, and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In addition to delivering the highest quality clinical care and advancing knowledge in the field, we are committed to educating and training the next generation of clinicians and scientists.

Below you will find several advocacy organizations in your area. Please feel free to reach out if you need support, education or want to get involved as an advocate for yourself and community. You will soon have the opportunity to participate in Project RockSTARR and have a donation made in your honor to one of organizations below. OSU Local Advocacy Organizations:

MHA is a powerful voice for healthy communities throughout the nation and offers information, referrals, and resources for individuals living with any type of mental illness. One of MHA’s services includes online screening, which is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition. Mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety, are real, common and treatable. And recovery is possible.

MHA Ohio supports the Central Ohio community by offering mental health services that may not otherwise be accessible.  We believe in inclusivity and work with ALL individuals and their families through each step on the path to wellness, from making initial referrals, to providing free mental health services, to helping maintain stability and productivity once they are achieved.
