Tardive Dyskinesia Awareness Week: TD Awareness Week is the first full week of May, which this year is May 4-10, 2025.
May 4 – May 10, 2025: Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week (CMHW) is a week in early May that aims to raise awareness and reduce stigma around children’s mental health. The week also promotes activities that help children develop social and emotional skills. Goals of CMHW Increase public awareness, Reduce stigma, Promote positive mental health, Emphasize the importance of family involvement, and Advocate for improved efforts to manage mental health challenges.

May 7, 2025 – National Brain Donation Awareness Day
May 15, 2025: Mental Health Action Day – The STARR is partnering with MTV to shift the culture of mental health from awareness to action. Mental Health Action Day on May 15, 2025, we will be announcing this year’s STARR Stop the Stigma Champion Award!

May 24th every year: World Schizophrenia Awareness Day
Mark your calendar! Join us May 14-15 in Washington, D.C., for S&PAA’s 2nd annual SPRING Summit! We’ll bring together people with schizophrenia, caregivers, clinicians, researchers and others for two days of panel sessions, workshops and collaboration as we continue to activate our Roadmap to Recovery. The 2025 ASCP Annual Meeting will be held May 27-30 2025 at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. This year’s theme is ‘Navigating the Evolution of Clinical Psychiatry: When is Newer Better?’ The Late-Breaking Posters submission deadline is March 28, 2025.
