NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Your local NAMI Affiliates and volunteer leaders work in communities across the country to raise awareness and provide essential and free education, advocacy, and support group programs.

NAMI Stark County is a group of volunteers whose lives have been touched by mental illness personally or professionally.  We are dedicated to improving the lives of people in Stark County who have been touched by mental illness through NAMI public education and information; family and consumer peer education and support; advocacy on behalf  of people living with mental illness and for  the health  of our community; and visible public events that raise funds  and awareness.

Our Programs Serve 3 Core Populations:

  • Family members having an adult loved one with mental illness;
  • Adults with mental illness;
  • Parents of children/adolescents with behavioral health issues

MHA is a powerful voice for healthy communities throughout the nation and offers information, referrals, and resources for individuals living with any type of mental illness. One of MHA’s services includes online screening, which is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition. Mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety, are real, common and treatable. And recovery is possible.

Since 1953, Mental Health America of Licking County has been dedicated to responding to the community and its mental health and wellness needs, empowering people to live healthy lives and achieve their full potential. Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) changes lives, saves lives and impacts lives, through education, peer support groups and advocacy for those diagnosed with a mental health illnesses and empowers their family and friends to embrace their independence, advocate for improved services, and to love them for who they are.

DBSA Charlotte is a locally-run, independent affiliate of the National DBSA. DBSA is the largest support organization in the nation, devoted exclusively to mood disorders. Our goal is to provide hope, help, education and resources related to living well, even thriving, while living daily with a mood disorder.
