Join us this week as we kick off Suicide Prevention Month with Dr. Jill Harkavy-Friedman from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Dr. Harkavy-Friedman talks about how education is one of the best ways to prevent suicide and talks about some of the resources available on the AFSP website. One of these resources includes AFSP’s “Talk Saves Lives” program, which offers ways to have a real conversation with someone who may be at risk, then develop an plan of action to get back into life. Our conversation covers warning signs to look out for, tools for prevention, healing after loss, support services, research and much more.
