Segal Trials is a privately held network of five research sites throughout South Florida conducting Phase I-IV research trials with a primary emphasis on psychiatry, neurology, addiction, insomnia, general medicine, healthy volunteers, infectious diseases, vaccines, and women’s health. Staying true to its core values of quality, customer service, advocacy and patient care, the Segal Trials team of over 110 professionals remain agile and competitive, expanding and growing based on the needs of its sponsors and its patients.

Segal Trials West Broward Local Advocacy Organizations:
BC HS Elderly & Veterans Services- Inverrary Station Transitional Housing Program is a non-profit that runs a federal government, HUD funded transitional housing program. Assistance is offered for homeless Broward County residents that meet low income levels and are over the age of 55. Provides a service continuum to functionally impaired adults 60 years of age and older who are at risk of premature nursing home placement.
LifeNet4Families offers daily, hot, nutritious meals in our community kitchen. While mainly serving Broward’s ever-expanding homeless population, the dining room is also the place where hungry families can visit during the summer when no school meals are available.
The community kitchen is open to anyone who is in need. Diners await the opening of the center at 8:30 a.m. On most days, the food distribution is completed by 11:00 a.m.
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Your local NAMI Affiliates and volunteer leaders work in communities across the country to raise awareness and provide essential and free education, advocacy, and support group programs.
NAMI Broward County offers free education programs along with support, guidance, and hope for those in the Broward County/Fort Lauderdale Florida region living with mental health illnesses.

MHA is a powerful voice for healthy communities throughout the nation and offers information, referrals, and resources for individuals living with any type of mental illness. One of MHA’s services includes online screening, which is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition. Mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety, are real, common and treatable. And recovery is possible.
Since 1957, Mental Health America of Southeast Florida has remained true to our mission of promoting mental health through education, prevention, research, advocacy and empowerment. Mental health services include information and referral, school-based prevention programs for children, education and support of parents so they can make their families strong. Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) changes lives, saves lives and impacts lives, through education, peer support groups and advocacy for those diagnosed with a mental health illnesses and empowers their family and friends to embrace their independence, advocate for improved services, and to love them for who they are.
