STARR Site Certification

Description of image

Certify a Site. Strengthen the Trial.

Your timeline lives or dies at the site.

A slow start, the wrong patients screened, participants who drift away at week six: nearly every one of those problems traces back to one thing, how well a site knows and is trusted by the community it recruits from. That is the exact gap STARR Site Certification is built to close.

THE GROUNDWORK

You are not paying for a badge. You are investing in performance.

STARR spends the year building real relationships on the site’s behalf. We identify the community organizations within 30 miles, make the introductions, and track where your target population already gathers so the site shows up where trust already exists. That kind of groundwork usually takes years. It is the difference between a site that posts a flyer and a site the community already trusts.

The payoff

Trust shows up in the numbers you care about.

Sites rooted in their community start faster, enroll participants who actually reflect the population your protocol needs, and keep them in the study longer.

Certification gives you one consistent signal across your network, so you can see which of your sites are community-ready instead of guessing.

READY TEAMS

Teams get the support they actually use.

Certified teams work from practical tools: empathy training, stigma reduction, and STARR 988, a structured call script for when a participant expresses suicidal ideation. Better-prepared coordinators give participants a better experience, and experience is what keeps people enrolled.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

What a certified site keeps up, every year.

Certification is not a one-time stamp. Each year, a STARR Certified site maintains its:

✓ Community outreach and active relationships with local advocacy and support organizations

✓ Empathy and trauma-informed care training for staff

✓ STARR 988 readiness: a structured script for calls where a participant expresses suicidal ideation

✓ A current map of where their community already gathers

✓ Ongoing education on stigma reduction and participant experience

You get one clear certification signal across the sites you already work with, and a partner keeping that groundwork current all year.

THE COST

The math is simple.

At $2,500 per site each year, certification is one of the smallest lines in a study marketing budget, and it is tax-deductible. Weigh it against the cost of a single delayed study or one under-enrolled site, and the decision makes itself.

Want to fund a cohort?

We’ll map certification to your priority sites. One agreement, full rollout, and a network you can actually see.

Bring certification to the sites you are counting on. Reach out to the STARR Coalition team and we will build a plan that fits your portfolio.
