The program is voluntary, with a thorough application process and barrier-free conditions for participation. Our emergency shelter, known as My Friend’s House (MFH), provides 24-hour residential care and services in partnership with Child Protective Services for children removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. RHY (Runaway and Homeless Youth) are also granted support through MFH with an average stay of 21 days, often referred through school districts, the juvenile court system, or word of mouth.

Whether young adults are needing a shower, new clothes, assistance with their job search or to speak with a counselor, the staff at the YRC can help. We provide access to food, hygiene products, laundry facilities and a safe place to shelter between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays. Minnie’s Food Pantry is a drive-through food pantry. We believe that overall wellness begins with healthy food and financial education. Our ultimate goal is to provide numerous programs that help families gain long-term food security and to break the generational curse of people (especially children) in low-income areas not having access to fresh fruits and vegetables. We ask that the trunk is empty so we can put the food in the trunk and prevent little to no contact.
