NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. Your local NAMI Affiliates and volunteer leaders work in communities across the country to raise awareness and provide essential and free education, advocacy, and support group programs.

The NAMI Wichita mission is to provide education and support for persons living with mental illness and their families; to provide support for research on brain disorders; and to provide public education and advocacy to promote mental health systems change with the hope that persons with mental illness may achieve the highest possible quality of life.

MHA is a powerful voice for healthy communities throughout the nation and offers information, referrals, and resources for individuals living with any type of mental illness. One of MHA’s services includes online screening, which is one of the quickest and easiest ways to determine whether you are experiencing symptoms of a mental health condition. Mental health conditions, such as depression or anxiety, are real, common and treatable. And recovery is possible.

The Mental Health Association of South Central Kansas (MHA) has been providing service for over 60 years in the areas of mental health education, advocacy and service. Throughout MHA’s history, services have been created based on identified community needs, and alignment with our mission. Over the years, our charter shifted from being purely educational, to today including over 30 programs geared toward prevention, mentoring, intervention, and treatment over the full spectrum of ages, genders, degree of illness, and diagnoses that exist in our community. And these services are provided with five offices located across south central Kansas.

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) changes lives, saves lives and impacts lives, through education, peer support groups and advocacy for those diagnosed with a mental health illnesses and empowers their family and friends to embrace their independence, advocate for improved services, and to love them for who they are.

DBSA Overland Park offers support groups and resources for people affected by mood disorders. Our support groups are a great place to regain self-confidence, find emotional support, and simply be among people who understand. You are welcome to participate and share, or just come to listen. We offer an accepting environment to support you in your desire for health and wellness.
